PRR Logo

After doing the BMW logo for the background of CL's BMW [link] , I thought I might try doing the Pennsylvania Railroad logo in a similar style. For those who don't know, the PRR was largest Railroad in the world, it later merged with rival New York Central RR to form Penn Central RR, PC went belly up in the 70's and the US government established Conrail and Amtrak to take over the railroad. Conrail handled the freight operations and Amtrac took over passenger operations. Conrail was very successful, Amtrak is still heavily subsidized by tax dollars. Conrail is now part of Norfolk Southern, but parts of Conrail were also sold off to CSX to satisfy Anti-Trust laws. Former PRR routes going to NS and former NYC routes going to CSX.
