PRR 60 in Delaware

Description

This is Pennsylvania Railroad No. 60 or what's left of her. She is sitting on a siding along the Wilmington & Western Railroad. No. 60 is a 1916 Altoona built 0-6-0 switcher. She was brought to Delaware by truck and crudely restored. She had been sitting on a siding along the old PRR Conemaugh Division in Harmarville, PA where she had been since the 1950's when she was purchased by Chemline Stone Steel to be used as a stationary boiler. For some reason she was never used and was just left to rot and be vandalized till one day she was hulled away in pieces by flat bed trucks. Now she sits outside a daycare center in Delaware. All her sheet metal, asbestos and domes have been remove, a non original bell, a headlight and a number plate were added along with a fresh coat of paint. At least they painted PENNSYLVANIA on her tender. She should really be at the railroad Museum of Pennsylvania where she could be properly restored. It made me sad seeing her like this, but at least she wasn't scrapped.

That engine sure needs an overhaul.
