"My Mary Lou" in for repairs at Miho AFB Japan. Miho Air Force Base was were much of the Nose Art magic took place during the Korean War. I was told by Charlie Hinton who was a navigator with the 13th Bomb Squadron, that it was a Japanese civilian who painted all these great morale boosting Nose Art designs. Most were based on Esquire calendar girl form the early 1950's. This illustration was done in Adobe Illustrator 8.0 and was published in the April issue of Airbrush Art + Action Magazine.
