Christmas 1953 by yankeedog Christmas 1953 by yankeedog
Yesterday, my friend John DeCillo, a Vietnam Vet asked me if I could do something for our troops over seas who couldn't be home for Christmas. I got to thinking about a photo of my dad taken during the Korean War and thought I would share this with all of you. I think this says it all. The young woman in the picture frame is my mom.

Merry Christmas!

So perfectly expressive of a soldier's outer and inner life.

This is fantastic. I am going to submit a link to this to a WWII blog I follow on Tumblr.

This was taken during the Korean War, but I'm sure they could relate.
Thanks!

How do you do a "daily deviation"? This is the best pic I've seen on DA all year!
