Over the past coupe years, I've had the opportunity to design several different paint schemes for the Air Force sponsored car 21. This car was driven at Daytona to honor Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC).
Those paint schemes look a lot better than the Hendrick paint scheme. Those big googly yellow numbers on Jeff, Jimmie and Kyle's carsjust don't look right.

Thanks! I was pretty heavily art directed on this project, but it was fun since the AF knew exactly what they wanted. I like working with people who know what they want, it's a rare thing.

I did a lot of design work for the Air Force. I even designed the Air Force Chopper. Orange County Choppers built the Bike, but they changed almost everything but the gas tank, but I did the original design. I'll have to post the designs I did. I did one based on the F-22 Raptor Fighter and one based on the B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber. I wish they had done the B-2 chopper, but I guess the B-2 isn't as sexy as the Raptor.
I never made any money doing this work, it was all volunteer. I had a friend that was in the Air Force who was involved with all these projects. It was fun stuff.
I think OC charged the AF $30,000 to build the bike. My patriotism doesn't have a dollar sign.

Whats involved with a project like this? Just creating the logo on the hood? The logo's and the numbers? Obviously nothing to do with the small decals, right?
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
There are a lot of themes that run through the stock gallery many people have similar ideas but they pull them off in different ways. In this series of newsletters we will look at similar ideas but different outcomes.

When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

How does someone get that gig?
My favorite part of the Papyrus Nascar Racing games is painting my own cars. I made a Firefox car I should post on DA.
Awesome work!
